aalyiah=dead CONFIRMED on CNN

OMG I can't believe that =( I'm not a big fan but you don't want that to happen to anyone. I just saw her give away the Escalade on BET a few days ago. RIP Aaliyah.

Too bad. It's a shame when young people die.
I'm going to be seriously pissed off if she's going to get hugely popular now that she's gone, though. You know, martyrizing her to increase sales...

And? There were probably tons of other people dead today, and you haven't heard shit about them. Just because she's a singer and famous doesn't mean that you should feel more sorry for her than anyone else. If you're gonna mourn, mourn for them all.

I agree. They probably ARE going to milk this for all it's worth. She was on her way home after she finished shooting a video.
Ah well, Timbaland was the producer anyway. All she did was sing. She can be replaced. (Not that I care 'cause I don't listen to that kind of music.)

um...zkreso...i see your point, but what the hell? she was famous, the others weren't. its a fact of life, people care about celebrities...why should we care about somebody across the world we never knew?

FYI
She will not be in Matrix 2&3. But she was able to finished Queen of the Damned. Which unfortunately is going strait to video. Most likely because Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt could not be bothered to reprise theyre roles in Interview.
