Its like talking to a wall when I say, that there is no need to resubmit a "SCREENSHOT" there is no such thing as a BETA "screenshot" it's just a glimpse of your desktop to the world at that time nothing more!! please refrain from submitting the same screenshot more than once.

Admins, I am in agreement here. Yes, I 'm also guilty of resubmitting - it happened once and actually, the resubmission was no better (even worse) than the original sub. BUt that's beside the point. I just saw a wall by a certain user (check out the most recent uploads), and while it is not a screensoht, it is a wall that has been resubmitted for the 7th time!!!
I love screenshots, I love the challenges of composition, color matching, etc. ((((WHOA my comp. just logged off and restarted for some unkown reason,LOL))) what the hell was that???
Anyway, resubmissions of screenshots take up space, they are only glimpses of a desktop. Your point is well taken, Max.
I agree, resubmitting a screenshot is boring. We've already seen it once, no point in showing it to us again, just because you've changed the icons or winamp..or something of that nature.
As for screenshots being "art" - notwithstandnig the varied definitions of "art", screenshots do require a substantial amount of skil, that is, an eye for composition, color usage, and plain ans simple "good taste." Believe me, I have seen some terrible screenshots (ask the admins, they rate everyday), and some really good ones. It's something like interior design, I suppose . . . and YES, it should be a competition, gievn that there IS indeed skill required. The rating system itself justifies this - there are "30" screensohts, and then there are "95" screesnhots. As for the amount fo work that goes into a screenie as opposed to an actual wallpaper, that is an entirely different skillet of shit - Phyrearms, Shinter, and a number of others put so much work into wallpapers, and walls obviously form the basis of screenshots. So wallpapers are in a totlaly different class - not simply composition or knowing "where everything should go", but actual CREATION of the highest order.
Screesnhosts have their place and necessary skills, and so do wallpapers :-)
I think the screenshots are great. That helps me to get some ideas how to customize my desktop and make it look good. But it's booring to see almost the same desktop over and over again. And yeah it does take up a lot of space.
Boring to see an updated skin of any kind, But essential if WE r 2 improve. I want to see how people have refined ANYTHING that they have submitted. LTD, your first comment made sense, your second? hee hee hee hee (yes, I added an additional 'hee' to be Xtra annoying) hee hee hee

Sheesh, I just fixed some bloopers on my latest winamp skin. Having a hard time determining if I should resubmit. Not so that I won't be found boring. But.. I haven't had so many downloads. I am questioning how much space I will take up and the amount of Time of Which Admin I will take away from. I am sure a few users will want to know how I fixed my mess ups.
