he has made good skins. many of them. he's quite good at it actually. why? because he's very particular, not only about looks, but USABILITY. Try one out. Try several of them out, even. You'll realize what I'm saying.
Next time, try investigating your claims before slagging someone off because they don't agree with you.

mmm basically, i posted it here, not only so he could see it, but so that anyone else who held the same opinion but (wisely) chose not to go about expressing it in the same manner would see it to. Kinda like a teacher making an example of a student in class. Sorry if it offended you.
im pretty sure he didnt say "pika you cant make skins" He said make one (or show off 35295802385 that you did make) or stop complaning. So pika went and uploaded a buncha themes, and outta the 6 or 7 he uploaded, only 2 are even worth downloading.

pika seems to be all about functionality. thats' great. so looks are second or not even on the chart for you? i mean, wouldn't the most functional desktop have icons the size of your fist with a detailed description of what they all lead to? wouldn't that really be the easiest and most self descriptive to use? i mean sure, i found a few things about litestep to be really great, (multiple desktops, hotkeys) since i was too retarted to put the time and effort into learning how to make a decent litestep theme, i opted to customize explorer and get altdesk and put some ql's on. i mean, i guess what i'm trying to say is, if customize.org sucks for shell users, go find or start a site that pertains to your own specific shell.
hmm. while it's a good point, looks almost have to be secondary. I mean, something can be as breathtakingly beautiful as you want it to be, but if it doesn't work, then all you can do is look at it...
btw,i do see your point (and pika's point) about functionality. but the way pika expressed his view in the closed thread was basically saying that anyone who's ls design style focused on graphics over usability was a moron. it's the attitude i don't agree with.

you downloaded and used all 5 themes that you commented on in a space of, what was it? 20 minutes? that's pretty fast. doesn't sound like you gave them much of a chance, there, bob.
and ether, i can understand that. i wasn't trying to put down the themes or themers, so much as the people who were rating these themes with 100 pt values without even trying them out or bothering to read the descriptions at all. one point would be samurai hamster's "hell on wheels" screenshot, which got several high ratings from people who didnt even know what was IN the screenshot. it's ignorance like that that's quite annoying
