Hello,

I want to show the contents of a textfile on my desktop. The background has to be 100% transparant and I don't want to use active desktop.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can use coolmon to copy and paste the text you want, there shouldn't be too much text.

you can add vapor pad to your start menu and then config it to take up a chunk of the screen

tho honestly, your question feels like "i want to put a webpage on my desktop but i dont want to use active desktop which makes my desktop a webpage. fix it!"

If you want to put just static text on the desktop, just edit your wall paper and paste the text. It would be the most resource friendly. If you want to disply text that updates every now and then use samurize. () Only problem there is that it can be a wee bit tedious to set up if you want to display lots of lines.
