Skinning AIM 5.0

i dunno, but custo needs to put that section up soon. i have 5.0 sitting on my desk right now, but just waiting for someone to make a nice skin

speaking of aim5.0 when is aim+ gunna come out with a compatible version cuz aim+ didnt work when i had 5.0beta so i went back to 4.8 so i could use aim+

aim 5.0 is mostly crap. it's like upgrading from 2k to xp :) As for the skinning, not sure if AOL is letting people make custom skins, or forcing us to use theirs. I havent seen any custom skins for it on the net at all yet.

ALL CRAP! i say forget about AIM5, there is no real reason to even bother w/ it. It is bigger and uglyer than 4.

You can skin aim its just a pain. You need the program exescope. Use the program to open the aimres.dll file in the aim program files. You then can replace the pics with ur own. Its a pain...............

Yeah they aren't really skins, but AIM 5.0 does have a lot of cool and useful features. I just create my own buddy list backgrounds and hack the dlls for other bitmaps. It really isn't a pain, it's well worth it.

Aim 5.0 is a big waste of time and resources..
simple fix : Called getting AIM 4.7/4.8, and MYIM or Exescoping the shit out of it. Better yet, get Trillian.

Guess to the resque! I was about to recommend the same thing. 8) Be sure to read the readme. It's a great app, and does more than just skin aim. It won't work with several other plugins though.
