hey whats up i was wondering if i could remove/change the look of the icons in my system tray so my desktop wouldnt have all these gh3y multicolored icons in it.. i dont want to close those programs though, just remove the icons. if anyone knows of any programs for this please reply :)
Max, obviously you didn't read his full post. He doesn't want to close the progs., just remove the icons from the system tray. There are two ways that I am aware of: 1) Use windows XP and you can hide any of the icons you don't want to see in the system tray, or 2) use object bar from stardock to do the same - you can get it to emulate windows xp in that way. Hope this helps.
in my opinion, traymanager is the best. win xp does it, but it leaves an arrow behind. You can use Rescource Hacker to find and recolorize the icon. You can get it at www.virtualplastic.net, just type Rescource Hacker into the search box.
