Are you creating all those walls? I DON'T THINK SO!!! It's personal...making a wallpaper. They add what they want and were and how they want to add it. The name is also a personal choice. Most people make their are to express what they are feeling or what they want to get across. That's what art is, and for you to post here telling them what to do is immature and stupid. If you had half the sense of what art is all about you would understand.now as penaduny put it... "shut....up.."

hahahaha actually, he's right, at least somewhat. I think what he's addressing is BAD typography, which comes across exactlly as he said. Good typography is getting harder to come by these days, in fact not many can pull it off, it usually is just overlooked though. Anyways, he's also right on about the bastardizing of walls with big ridiculous words...

The majority of the the posters on this site don't even know what art is. Personal expression has gotten so ugly these days... Anyways, if you're going to posts walls on here, be prepared to accept criticism. Don't reply to this post giving me definition of expression, and writing "you can't say anything because you don't create walls" is as weak as the words you're trying to convey on me. I enjoy coming here, and I'd like to continue to experience quality wallpapers, but sadly the site looks like it's turning into a huge mixing pot of trite, uninspired, unfinished, "hehe this is cute" crap that I personally am sick of (Deviat Art). Like it or not, this site will eventually become a desert of tedious filth if some "quality control" isn't applied. This is my opinion, blunt as it is, it's criticism from a consumer point of view. It's about time huh?

as i already said... this is completely personal opinion you stupid fuck.... what you may think is not 'quality' someone may like... and you do not decide what is art and what isn't... god damn fuckface, have some respect... everyone doesn't think the same as you do...

Uh... first of all, how can you be a 'consumer' of wallpapers? They're free. If anything, you're a user, and sites like this are typically for developers to exchange ideas.

Second, a lot of people LIKE trendy stuff. Get over it.

Third, wallpapers are not art, and customize is not an art site. It's a customization site. Developers here are more hackers than artists, and the emphasis is on functionality.

Fourth, if you're going to post a scolding essay on "the scene today", maybe you should have something to do with it. What have you contributed beyond slam reviews?

Fifth, don't compare this site to deviantART. It's not deviantART. Besides, dA is a LEARNER'S community where novice artists hang out and hopefully better their craft. Don't expect every submission to be museum-worthy, and don't pick on dA. ;P

Sixth, read your reviews. For someone who's high and mighty on 'art over design', you sure do bash a lot of good art.

Seventh, if you're going to post something like this, you'd better be prepared to accept criticism. :P

To rephrase and spare myself the obvious retaliatory post, Third, wallpapers are not ALWAYS art. There. Saved someone an argument. :)

I'd say 75% of the work here is excellent, whether its trendy or not, then another 15% for beginners strutting their stuff to become the next Phyre Arm or Shinters, the last 10% is just misc, that could either be called crap or just different. To say that this site will turn into a "mixing pot of trite, uninspired, and unfinished crap" is a completely unfair statement, and if you don't want to see it go in that direction, once again, why don't you make something "original" and blow us all away

95% of the work on this site is just plain crap. Oops, there goes my opinion again! Expect a lot more criticism on your walls from me. Personally I don't care what you think about me or my posts, as you can choose not to care about mine. Just don't get all hissy pissy when it happens.

Now I just feel sick reading about this. Nothing anyone says or does will keep assholes from being assholes, so I give up. Kill all the "I hate screeshot" posts and be done with it. Sport is trying to be like the Eminem of Custo. Raise a little controversy over something everyone was pretty much fine with before, and attract alot of attention.
