1sound, a mixed media site of sorts which will feature only the very best musical and visual artists, launched today.
The site is designed to promote the careers of musical and visual artists. 1sound started accepting submissions from musical artists today, and will begin to accept submissions from visual artists shortly.
All services are free.
It also will showcase a talented writing area, with subsections in A world less known and interactiveX. Not to forget the amazing buzz where news isn't news, or is it?
The CEO of 1sound is Rod Underhill, who is one of the founders of mp3 dot com. So you know your going to be getting involved with a site thats in great hands and has years of experience under their belts with online company developement.
The artist section, "Graffito" is mentioned in the preview pages that are visible now. Artists who are interested in Flash technology might want to see the Flash preview "trailer" that is currently on display. Full details of Graffito and other areas regarding the promotion of visual artists is not yet posted, however, the 1sound approach to promoting visual artists will be similar to their policy regarding musical artists.
Expect very innovative promotions that are intended to lead clients to your doorstep and expect a high admissions standard. 1sound wants to represent the best artists and only the best artists. While visual artists cannot sign up as of yet, you'll want to visit the site and get a feel for their sense of design. Look for the Graffito section to open in short order.
The full launch of the 1sound site will happen in a month or so, but visual artists will be able to set up their installations prior to the actual launch.
The 1sound experience is going to be like no other, and I am hoping this opportunity for all you artists here at deviantART will bring you all good fortune and newly aquainted friends, contacts and experiences. For those of you here who know of me, know I have been missing in action over the last few months and now with pre-launch and launch approaching very soon, you can understand what I've been deeply involved with!
