No I think it's goddamn unfair... First of all they get their buts kicked by Team Sweden. Then they almost lose to Germany. Unfortunetely these guys are so lucky that they get to meet Belarus in the semi... They stink. Sweden should have won!!! And next time they will. Never forget your defeat against the greatest and proudest nation in the world, Sweden!!!
sweden has always had a strong hockey team, but so has canada. personally, I was suprised by the decent showing of USA.

Wow, I'm surprised to hear that about Sweden when they were embarassed more than any other team in the tournament. And by your logic, since Sweden beat Canada in one game, shouldn't Belarus be the better team than Sweden since they won one game?
I think Sweden is a great country and has a great hockey team, but hockey is still Canada's game and we *needed* this gold, and the team deserved it.
team canada played just how you'd expect a team of superstars to play in the gold medal game. they played a near-flawless game that was spectacular to watch, and definitely gold-medal deserving in my opinion
