Iconpackager doesn't apply icon packages

Hello,
I've been using iconpackager for some time now and a few days ago I wanted to apply a different icon package, but when I wanted to load/apply the new package, Iconpackager just froze up and I had to force quit the program everytime. It's weird since I didn't have any trouble with it before and I didn't reinstall or modify the program in any way.

I tried to uninstall, clean the registry and reinstall several times now, but the issue is still the same: it won't load/apply any package at all. I can use it's other functions, I even restored the system icons to their XP defaults, but the most important function of Iconpackager just doesn't work.

Any ideas on how to make it work again?
