Inline text editor, embedded on to desktop

Hi,
Im new to rainmeter, and what i would like to do is use it do display a text file on my desktop, but also allowing me to edit that file directly on the desktop and save it from there without opening notepad.
any ideas?

An option might be to use Rainlender and the to-do-list that comes with it. You can modify the area that the text displays into so rather than being a single line of text for a regular to-do item, you can manipulate it to be a paragraph. The person Kaelri did the Enigma skin and it describes what you are referring to, but it seems like the only option within Rainmeter. Another plus if you use Rainlender, it can sync with your Outlook or Thunderbird account, and show up as your tasks.

never mind, i dont think a desktop text editor exists.

Webwidget might facilitate what you want. Anything you can do with html/ajax/php, etc. can be embedded on the desktop.

yeah that seems to do what i want. its going to take learning a bit of ajax to do it, and its not ideal, but its pretty damn good. thanks cthu1hu
