miranda clist modern problems

i have just downloaded miranada 0.7.7 and put the clist modern pluggin into the pluggin directory. then i go into options and turn the clist classic off and turn the clist modern on, click apply and then exit miranda. then when i reload miranda it has had no effect, i look in the pluggin options and clist classic has been re ticked and a red dot is to the right of the clist modern. any ideas, i really want to skin my miranda im. thanks in advance
