Troubles with customized windows.

...i'm almost sure it's because of a windows update (do you have automatic updates on?...)
however i still don't know which one is the guilty that resets your uxtheme hacked

from the info you gave us it seems that you are not actually using a visual style which is the one that skins the windows.
Desktop shells cannot change the appearance of windows, save for blackbox that can provide a custom window border.
you need to patch uxtheme.dll to use custom visual styles.

Themes for BB are for BB.
They will only change how BB menus and toolbars and such look.
For windows and programs... You either need to find a 3DCC or Visual Style with matching colors.

nosphere - fresh install and no updates yet. Ill keep and eye on what stops working when update after i figure this out.

Kapoios - Yeah that sounds like what i need to do. I'm going to go back to black box for that and google uxtheme.dll and see what i can find.

djspazz - ill look into all that if i can't get bb to work right.
