I just found this program
http://www.fmjsoft.com/imageeye.html
It's like Windows Picture Viewer or Zeed but it has more options and autosizes pictures to the size of the window while maintaining proportions. Ex: I pull the window wider, it automatically also makes the window taller to keep proportions. It's freeware but there are..."workarounds."

hey, this is exactly what I have been looking for.
works great, I like how it will just display the image, no title bars, etc.

I've been trying to edit the text on the window bar, "Image Eye v7.4" but I'm not having any luck.
Does anyone want to try to figure this out?

Actually I should clarify, I'm trying to remove the "v7.4 (unregistered)" text.

Or just use Artsee.

Artsee is similar but It doesn't have the functionality I want. it doesn't auto zoom when you resize the window and the window doesn't automaintain its proportions.

There's also maxview. Pretty cool, but I wish it had a title bar ;)
