i use to replace my shell32.dll with replacer.bat, but since i got my new motherboard the dll file won't stay modified. every time i reboot it's the same and these ugly windows icons are back. does anyone know how to help?
Check to see if there is any shell32.dll backups anywhere, normally they are in the i386 folders. Also search for shell32.dll_ which is a compressed form of it.
maybe disable windows update? all of it, everywhere.
