LOL btw, in the Litestep theme i did for my peekaboo setup i made the audio controls animated too, they have a certain width, but when the title is too long they animatedly expand. I actually anted to record that too, but i forgot.

I found some other program online also and it had the same problem, my litestep stuff didnt show up in the render, like not even my popup

Wouldn't it just be easier to just release the theme so we can see the animation first hand? :P Can't wait to try it out.

Maybe you can find a quick trial version of SnagIt? I got the program, haven't tried the video feature yet , but I'll give it a go in a bit.

I just tried SnagIt, good suggestion, it's a nice program.
But it had the same problem as in the other ones, Litestep stuff didn't show up in the render.

camstudio worked though, and is free. Not as nice rendering as SnagIt does but what can you do, will have to do I suppose

im getting a external hd tomorrow n im not modding my icons in shell32 till i get that (cuz my comp already crashed once *cries*) and im not making the ss till i change my icons! hehe

how did you get it to detect if the text was too long + by how much it was too long?

You don't have to just set the label to AutoAnimate, a direction and a minwidth.

im using autosize for a couple of things duno why I didn't realize it will do that for text on a label :P

I don't know why, but I can only view that site in IE. And the download won't work, when I get to the dialog the open and save buttons don't work. GRRR.

cool, i did also animated taskbar that pops up and moves like a spring, quick tho, and the tray, slides in fast at first and then slows down.

i dont really have any ideas tho what else to animate, maybe ill visit some flash websites or something for some ideas, but anyway i duno what i'd appply the idea to but we'll see

He's proposing that you show us your desktop with the use of that site, and apparently we could see it while you're doing stuff on your computer.

And that is indeed crafty, also good to keep some surprise to it.

The system stats animations are really neat and make a simple concept more appealing.

The command box is even greater, just one question though. Is it using xLabel and if so does that having as much launching power as lsxcommand?

at first I tried to just do reposition of lsx but it is not as smooth, or should I say, doesnt do it as well as label. so I made label animations, and then the lsx unhides (has same dimensions as the label behind it), visually the only thing is seen when it unhides is that the text is displayed. i used lslua for the scripts but mzscript can be used.

but for the meantime can you explain how you achieved these animations or give me some documentation? i haven't tried making a theme since xpaintclass came out and this makes me want to start theming again. wouldnt mind having a few animations with it as well

I'll have to remember this trick and that software you mentioned sometime. It would be nice to use to take some of the mystery out of modding.
