As you may or may not know, I'm currently doing a restyle of the GAIA Visual Style, and one thing I'm trying to do is to make the taskbar thinner (22 pixels). Right now, it's 24 pixels high; I'm trying to make it 22 pixels, but no matter what I do, it's struck at 24 pixels. I have messed around with the taskbar button, background and th
Just put 2 pixel lines of magenta at the top (255, 0, 255). That should do it. That's what I always do and it seems to work. Only snag is the content within the caption bar cannot be aligned vertically.
Akka, content margins top and bottom never work for me. I didn't think they were properly utilised. Am I wrong?
akka: I will try sending it again, but to confirm: your e-mail is ufotofu at gmail dot com, right?
Frankenstein: I will try that and see if things work out. However, I'm trying to design a taskbar here that can be used on the top and bottom (I might look into left and right taskbars later), so I'm afraid that there might be some problems...
eXAKR: I think you possibly may have misunderstood... or I did. Your objective is to crop 2 pixels from the top of the taskbar making it thinner, right? There is a setting in SysMetrics that sets the height of the taskbar. Have you tried that yet? What I meant by 2px on top is transparent areas, therefore making 2px at the top effectly disappear (also cannot be clicked on). In relation to taskbar on the top and bottom, this is impossible without some external background task as msstyles are not designed that way, and to my minimal knowledge neither are WBlinds skins.
akka: On the note of your email... is it down correct? I sent you an email the other day but wasnt sure if you'd pick it up.
If there was anything under there that could change the height of the taskbar, then either it has some obscure name I don't know, or I don't see it in the visual style.
