We can't even help you if you don't even state 1) what boot program you got 2) or where you downloaded the boot skin. If you answer those question, we can then probably point you in the right direction. Just beware changing boots screens can screw around with your window settings so you better know what you're doing. I did it before and I had to reformat my computer.
Here is an example of a bootskin problem. I suggest you try to mod something else, use LogonXP, thats safe at least you know it does toy around with your boot.ini. Here's a quick suggestion, when you're making threads please type more concise. I'm just giving you my two cents.
Just get the latest xPize upgrade package - then you just change the boot.bmp picture in the root of C [as long as its 640x480 with 16 colours] - simple task, even with MSPaint!
