I have most of those, and they don't really do anything for me... I just want a plain black/white square-ish VS like the UnitedCustomizers use. Thanks for the list anyway, though. =)
I can't do skinning (complex stuff, mostly anything involving code) so I've generally left that all alone. And I don't have anything like StyleBuilder. I also use Styler for my themes (it's easier than windows default) which means I can't use 3DCC =|
..Hmm, no 3dcc doesn't pose to many problems. Plus you can use DisplaySet instead. Get some thing like case and just make your own extremely simple image for the titlebar and such. Doesn't take any code work. You just need to get StyleBuilder, it's free.
Isn't StyleBuilder ShareWare? Like TimeTrial? I looked at it a while ago, and again just a few hours ago, but from what I can tell it's shareware... =S Meh I'll download it then. 3DCC doesn't work if you're using styler, does it? Cause styler reads the theme file and applies it on its own, and disregards Windows things... Ah well, I'll try StyleBuilder... Thanks for this, Pyro.
Yeh, so most of the time 3DCC is totally useless, even if you are using Windows themes... StyleBuilder won't let me open anything other than StyleBuilder themes or something, so I can't open any VSs to edit them.
That's pretty awesome, aMADme... Looks sweet, would love a release. Any chance of like two versions or something? One with those colours, and one with proper black and white?
and why does no one ever mention WB :\ i still prefer that and skinstudio over stylebuilder, and i think it is def. more user friendly than stylebuilder. you could always give it a try as well as stylebuilder.
WB? As in WindowBlinds? But that's all like 'GIMMEH MONEH!' But you can get practically the same shit for free. With a little less functionality. But meh. I would love to use it, but you need to find WB skins and stuff, and you've gotta pay... Doesn't seem worth it.
um. you have to pay for stylebuilder too you know. and you can import VS too. so you dont have to find WB skins. you are actually getting MORE than what stylebuilder gives you. but meh, whatever.
Oh, oh well... I'll try stylebuilder... since I've got it downloaded and it's not asked me for money yet... But if it goes on nagging rampages I'll take a look at Stardock's stuff too. Cheers. =)
I've edited Clinical VS... Only slightly, but I've done it, just widened the start menu to allow My Documents and that text to show... Taken out the line at the bototm of the taskbar... Just some small stuff like that... I'll probably do a little more later...
