Saw this site on digg the other day. This site has the following games and more. Mario Bros, Double Dragon, 1942, Ikari Warriors, Jackal, Super Mario 2, Super Mario 3.
i tried finding one of my favorite games from back in the day, bases loaded 2, and was unsuccessful on both sites. i played bases loaded 3 on max's link, but it was very slow :( i did hit a home run on my first at bat tho lol
There is a real good site called www.emuparadise.org ther you can download meny games from: NES, SNES, N64, SEGA, PSX, and more. but first you have to download a program to play them. there is a program for every consol. so first u want to go to the left of the page and click on the emulators button and then click the consol you want and when you download it you have to extract it. then you go to the ROMS botton on the left and select the consol you want and look for the game u want and download it you alsto have to extract the game.
Speaking of old Nintendo games, i once had this game about greek gods or something. I don't remember if it was NES or SNES, but it was an rpg kind of like Zelda 2. Been trying to find it back for years, does anyone know its name?
I say these sites need more Earthbound. Thankfully, I still have my old cartridge, but if you don't ... snag the ROM and prepare to sign away the better part of your weekend. Because, man, that game is great.
" I had never heard of earthbound before super smash brothers."
You see, that right there ... that's the problem here. You are precisely the type of fellow who absolutely needs to grab the game and shut yourself off from the world for a few days. :-D
I am big fan of the really obscure games: Guardian Legend, Kid Niki, and my personal favorite Blaster Master. [Blaster Master] is probably the most engrossing and multi-faceted game I've ever played (until GTA)
Guardian Legend. I have that. I don't remember enjoying it much, though. Wasn't that the game that was ridiculously long and complex? Lots of hidden passages and such? Or am I thinking of Legacy of the Wizard? Those two games had such similar styles and cartridge art that I always confused them. But Blaster Master, however ... you can't forget that. It was a classic.
I've played both [Legacy of the Wizard and Guardian Legend] till my eyes bled. LOTW had the bouncy knight that never could pull off a decent swordstrike, that had tons of hidden passages. Guardian Legend starts out as a "shmup" for a level as a plane-then the plane transforms into a girl robot that fights in an overhead environment...kinda like the non side scrolling parts of Rygar (another freakin classic).
Which one was the game where you could play as multiple members of a family (Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother) and there was a shop in a tree at the very beginning? I'm starting to think it was Legacy of the Wizard. That's the one I played a lot, even though I don't think I liked it that much.
Oh, yeah. It was Legacy of the Wizard. I found that out for sure last night. I don't even remember ever playing Guardian Legend, even though I have the cart in my closet. Oh well.
hello, I found yesterday a site which is not too bad...but for the moment there isn't a lot of game. it's brand new i think: http://www.easyretro.com you can play exclusive retro game.
