Reshacking Thunderbird

For some reason, Thunderbird doesn't seem to want to be reshacked properly. I replaced both icons in the "Icon" folder and the groups in the "Icon Group" folder and restarted Tbird. In my file manager, the icon is changed, and when I have the extensions or themes window open, the icon in its title bar and in the alt+tab switcher is correct, but not on the main program window. Any idea what's going on?

If you do a google for firefox icon packs, the packs you find at the first link will install icons you then later can replace.
