Hi,
I have a question to you guys.
My friend lost most of her pics she burned on the cd and now wondered if there is any chance of recovering those she had on an SD card in her camera. I thought this could be doable if I conected the card to my PC via a card reader and used a software like easyrecovery, but I'm not sure if I'm right. Please let me know if you faced such a problem and how you coped with it.
thanks in advance

I think you should connect the card to your pc, and go download GetDataBack for fat32 and try it out.
Just google it

i don't have problems with finding appropriate software. The only thing is that I don't know if it is going to work, I mean I don't know if the software will work with an SD Card... The reason I'm asking is that I don't have the card reader and my friend or me would have to buy it...
thanks anyway for advice

Would it work, if you would just connect the camera to your pc (sd card inside camera)? If this works you don't need a card reader.

When connecting the camera via USB or firewire, does it show a system tray icon as faulty or as found new hardware?

well, the card reader is not a problem, what is a problem is that I don't know if it is going to work with a recovery software...
but from what I've found in the net about card readers I learnt that cards are recognised by a PC as additional HD so that has to work, hopefully...
thanks for help guys,
cheers

it will work as long as she hasn't taken any photos since the ones that she erased.
