THe popup windows on the site are REALLY pissing me off... I like this site and click on the banners but I hate the pop ups... can we get something done about them?

if you consider having popups irritating the hell out of our users, then the answer to that would be: yes. thanks for clicking on the other banners, but that's not enough to support this site. as stated a million times, the general view around here is that we'd rather have this site with popups then not have it at all.
is it realy so hard to click on that x in the corrner of the popup? I mena I don't find it hard and I would imagine the rest of users don't, so why don't you give it a try and shut your gob
At this point it may be worthwhile to code a lil script that auto nukes the billion "popups Suck" threads as soon as they are posted. Or if the users really feel the wanna bitch they can just find someone elses already created whiny thread and post in it.
This is getting screwy. Every 10th or so thread started around here is popup hating related now.
If you hate popups that bad kids why dont you give the admins a suitcase full o cash so that they dont need to have popups. There is no such thing as a free lunch kids.
Would you willingly go deep into debt running a free site for the community? I didnt think so.
Or they could go subscription based. Would you prefer that? Would you like to have no choice but to pay in orer to get the skins here.
Popups are not going to kill you. If you so damned childish and greedy that you cant deal with them. Then Leave.
Popup killing apps just make is so that they still have to pay for your bandwidth and they have gotten noting in return. Its like doing a weeks worth of work at your normal job and your boss saying, "You know, paying people is so annoying, so im not going to pay you for last week."

here's how you get rid of them: There's a little "X" in a box. It's usually somewhere around the top right corner of the window.
Now, you need to move your mouse over it. Get down from that chair, the mouse ain't gonna chew your ankles off! It's the little white gimmick with a cord attached to it that is somewhere around your keyboard.
Now, take that mouse and go on the little "X" and click on it ... that's it ... NO NOT THAT ONE .... Oh great, now you've made it full screen. No don't look for a plug to emtpy it, just do it again and try not to miss the "X" this time ...
No i don't think the mouse moved by itself ... the little "X" has not dissapeared it's just moved to the top-right of your screen now ... because you've made it full-screen remember? ... No i don't think the computer did it on it's own.
seesh .... i can see how some people find it hard to close the pop-ups now!
