You gotta be kidding. I know I've seen other review pages where the original author has responded without overwriting his original comment. Are we talking about the same thing? I hope not. Thank you for the reply, but there's gotta be a way, I just don't see it right now...
Yeah, that's what I've been doing, but why can't I make a totally new comment? That way, people wouldn't have to look all the way up at the top to see my reply. I don't know, this whole thing is just so illogical, I truly must be missing something.
It's not really illogical as much as it is a different way of having a comment system for submissions.
Because every comment here has a rating attached to it, if each user could make multiple comments, it'd be possible for someone to rate their own submission 100 several (or many) times and inflate the rating for their submission.
In a similar fashion, if a user was upset at another user, he or she could rate the other user's submission 1 several times and deflate the submission's rating.
Thus, the current comment system prevents rating abuse.
