I remember logging into customize everyday dripping with aniticipation about what may have been subbed that day. I remember Imrik, and hermik, and the amazing work they did. I remember admins that cared, and submitted just as much work as the community did. I remember there being critics, but only because the standard here used to as high as it got. Customize used to be the no frills site to get the best of the best when it came to skins. It was pure, and it was the best site I've ever been a member too. The people I call my friends now were the people I looked up to, strived to emulate. These people pushed and motivated me to create on my own, branch out and discover my own creative side. These are the same people who are trying to save this community today. This place is fading, and the worst part is that most current members today have no idea of its rich history. They have no idea what Customize used to stand for.
You can say that we might be taking this too seriously, but its only because custo actually means something to a lot of us. We made friends here, and it became a little home away from home.
There is so much behind this story that it would take days to sort out everything that has happened over the years. From Max's first account that was nothing but a troll, to his beginnings as an admin and the issues then, all the way up until now. We're talking years here people, not just the last few months. The things that you have all seen recently are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the grievances people have.

Because of some of the back-story that I wasn't originally aware of, I shouldn't have previously posted my comments regarding "race." It's not that I've changed my mind, I just shouldn't have.
Oh my fucking god, what the hell is this whole mess about? Some lame comments someone did on a review? This kind of retarded behaviour is really unnecesary, don't like an admin? then done speak to him, ignore him on irc, but start sending those tipes of messages is just stupid and leading nowhere because it is obvious the other person won't respond well and flame you some more. Don't think a users comment is apropiate on your submission? Then delete it and thats it, who gives a fuck what one person thinks about your work, lead by the majority of people who like it, and unless the comments from the people who didn't like it are constructive or help you in some way to improve, then delete them or ignore them, it's so much easier and efficient that sending messages to those wrote the comments. But for fucks sake end this stupid shit you are doing and go back to what you are good at, skinning, thats what custo is for anyway visionleague™

someone above was talking about the decline of custo. yes it has declined, i was never very good at any of thsi shit, im just here to download not upload, but i would interact with the people and visit everyday. that stopped years ago.

How about Max resigns and this all comes to an end right here and now? Regardless of who's right and who's wrong, the basis for this entire argument is Max's position as an administrator to this site. If he were to respectfully step down and someone else that maybe everyone nominates/votes for takes his place, then I think all of this bullshit will come to an end.
That's just my two cents and I apologize if it seems overly simplistic.

But the thing is shocks, the person who isn't doing the right thing is in a position of power. People have been unhappy with the way Max handles himself for YEARS now, going all the way back to before he was an admin. Max started his career here as a huge troll. Granting someone who had behaved so poorly a leadership position in the first place was a horrible decision, and sure enough, it's worked out horribly. He's silenced and banned people who he's disagreed with, practiced cronyism throughout his stint as an admin, and used ratings as a tool to punish people he didn't like. In the past, any time somebody called him out publicly, they were lambasted for "hurting the community" and any dissenting voices would ultimately be driven to silence by peer pressure. At this point though, Max has offended or upset so many people that this issue is not going away, period.
Max said to Senex (a former ADMINISTRATOR of this site and a great, respectable guy):

Is that acceptable behavior for a leader in the community?
If Max cared about this community at all, he would cowboy up a little and resign. He doesn't even have to admit wrongdoing, he could just say, "Hey, I'm causing controversy by being here, I don't want that, so I'm going to step down for the good of the site" and go out with dignity.

My sig has nothing to do in all this, I'm not taking any sides, for what I've seen maybe max- didn't act as he should have, but im only making this statement based on the posts youve shown, I still havent seen many of the posts where the comments that made max- act the way he did show up, only the ones AFTER max- adressed at you guys, and status, about those threads you can point me to, please do, and I expect them to be diferent from the ones shown in the .txt so then Ill have more evidence on who's really the agressive person here
yah your right he didn't do or say the right thing. But he made his mistakes like he made his trolling mistakes when he started.. he certainly doesn't troll anymore. So you know thats changed about him. You just have to think and put yourself in his position and think.. after that many years of working here as an admin you tend to think you have more power than everyone else and your ego goes up.. so he said what he said to senex and thats it. The real question is, will this happen again and by that being to this extent. I highly doubt it cuz i'm sure max has learned his lesson. I'm sure he's going to try to be a better person. This happens to everyone.. removing him will not benifit anything because this could easily happen again.. no one is perfect and you could have many problems with many people. People change when power is given to them and anyone that cares about this community will have a hard to resigning or leaving the site. A good way to put it is all the people that have gotten in trouble with the site, left, came back and started fresh with a new account.

That doesn't even make sense dude...basically all I'm saying is that Max should just step down from his position as an admin and let people see what life is like without him. If he's not the problem, everyone who is siding with him will see that they were right all along. If he is the problem, the problem will be solved. It will be a temporary solution, I suppose until another admin starts pissing everyone off, but it will benefit the community now and we'll deal with everything else when it happens.

if you think about it like this, max has done nothing that would jeopardise the community. It's not his fault the community has been on a decrease. The only people i find to blame for anything is the owner of this site. He's done nothing to make it rise. So really.. removing max will do NOTHING !
so just cuz their respected members makes them special ? I suggest you stop using that cuz really it means nothing.. everyone is equal. But yah.. the only thing that will come out of it is that those people that had the whole situation thing with him will come out happy. It won't make the site any better because this could happen with any other admin on the site.
What i suggest is, if you guys have such a huge problem with him.. talk to the owners of the site to re-evaluate every single admin on the site and actually tell them to take into consideration that this site needs to be changed in many ways. Cuz it's the owners to put to blame for the decrease and anything that happens to this site. Now that i think about it. Everytime theres a new admin they have to go through the owners acceptance first.. i assume it's like that. So there is corruption number 1 because really they know nothing about him if they don't care or visit their site and if it's not like that.. then you have corrupted admins selecting users to become admins. So again.. all faults lay on owners for not doing their part and making this place rise from what it is, by adding better ratings systems, and backend work and pushing this site forward and if evo is or was being created by the admins then again it's corrupted because they picked out lazy people that arn't working.
