If you're going to use a free text editor, something like EditPad Lite or Notepad++ is so much better than notepad.

On the TGTsoft website, there is a program called RESedit, it is FREE and works pretty nice. It isn't as great as StyleBuilder but it is free.

i played with SkinStudio and StyleBuilder ... the trials :(

i am ResHacking but never thougt to make a vs with it ^^

and vi(m) kicks ass btw :D (using it in linux all the time)

*Raises my hand* Everything on my computer is legit. My connection has sucked for a long time. (56K dial-up for almost a year) so I can't download huge things like Photoshop or Macromedia. I have to buy them on disc. LOL.

I use paint for everything. I'm the Microsoft Paint master.
