hi i just downloaded that program youi advice me but how do i change folder icons? i want all the folders on my computer the same icon, how do i do that ?
open iconpackager. go to "icons and cursors" on the bar on the left. go to "folders", third icon from the left along the top select closed/open folder, and click "change" in the new window, click browse and nagivate to the icon you want, then click ok. click "apply"
repeat for other icons.
if this does not work, purchase a new computer and try it again.
Man. Two arts that seem to have been lost among internet customizers looking for answers. Specification, and the english language. I've never seen a looser thread or one so chock full of grammer/english errors. OK maybe i have, but in the first place, you might wanna specify what program you got, etc.

Too many damn pronouns. What program? Change what? Change one folder for all what?
I think you mean icons, which has been specified in this thread, and yea, the best idea is just to reshack them if you are using litestep. I think pepijnnuland basically got it, but if that doesn't work try being more specific and using spellcheck.
hey pepijnnuland i hope you can help me a little ...
i did as you said to change my icons and it partly worked...
if i use explore to anvigate my computter the icons look like i wantede them to but if i open a folder "normaly" the folders looks like they alwys did....
i have a really hard time figuring out why where do they get that icon from when i have changed the shell32.dll ?
minam, what do you mean by open a folder normally? Through a program? If you mean that, than i would understand your problem if you had used IconPackager? But you say you reshacked those icons, did read the last line too? You can also do this with TweakUI.
by open normaly i mean dubble click on a folder and open it that way.... and i have not used iconpacker..... but i can try to describe the problem in another way.....
i found a great skinn to make my start menu look a little nicer.(Damek) after i did that i found out that to make it work proberly i had to use this "UXTheme Multi-Patcher (Neowin Edition) 4.0.exe" to make it work.. after i did that it all worked great
but now i want to make the rest of windows look better to... i found an easy way to change the way my icons look by simply changing the shell32.dll with this program "ResHacker.exe"
now the problem is that it only partly works.. when i look at my folders in explore it all looks great and i can see all the new icons but when i look at it the "normal" way (by dubble clicking" all i see is the old icons... where are those old icons comming from ? (remember i have changed them in shell32.dll)
if i undo what the UXTheme Multi-Patcher did i only see the new icons but my cool skinn goes away...
how can i make both work at the same time ???
i do have backups of all the files i have changed...
