Any news on the Nano 05 suite from 4imp? If the 05 stands for 2005, it nearly over. Here's to them finishing it soon. If its anywhere near as popular as the original, we should be in for a treat.

I thought Imrik said that they would not release new stuff via the communities for a while, meaning that they would only release stuff through 4imp.net.
I haven't heard anthing about Nano 05 though. i'm guessing that rioo has secretly decided to scrap the project.
Incidentally, has heylove mentioned anything about the Area04 icons yet?
Everything seems rather quiet on the 4impressions prairie..............
why not make your own icons to match the vs, you know it's very satisfying to make something on your own. and you can show off what you can do in your screenshots, instead of showing off your ability to apply someone else's icons. i guess that kind of goes for visual styles too.

I'm just sick of seeing that kind of response to curiosity about the status of this or that. People giving the old "STFU and do it yourelf then", sure that WOULD be a more productive solution, and it'd probably benefit us all if we just up and did it ourselves, we'd learn a lot more.
Honestly though? I've neither the patience nor the desire to develop the talents it requires to make things on par with the quality of most of the stars around here. Is that wrong of me that i'd rather just use their stuff?

well you can't get any better unless you try... also, you don't actually have to start off making skins from scratch... you can learn from tweaking/modding existing skins (not for release though but personal use).. cause i always see people complaining about how overplayed and the repetitiveness of each persons works... if more people made their own skins and etc, then that might bring a variety to whats being submitted, thats all i was trying to get at. and if you don't have the time or care to make your own stuff, i think you should just sit and wait patiently for the people who do take the time to create desirable pieces.
hahaha nice one c72. And yes, smarmy is a good word. I figure if you wanna totally skin and pimp out your desktop then you should have at least some skills in that area, because you won't always find exactly what you want already made :|
Whats the point of a community forum if questions are looked down upon, Advent? I just thought someone might know something I didn't on the subject, and I didn't want to pester someone with a PM when a "community" forum is readily available.
maybe we just don't have a clue when we will finish the stuff, because as far as i know a day (means one rotation of the earth around the sun) has only 24 hours. so, go figure how much time we have left after i told you that imrik has many exams to do (means at least 8-10hrs learning a day), i have to work (means to work, like literally at least 9hrs), we both have to sleep (means regeneration in a bed or something similar, takes at least another 6-8hrs), we both somehow have to get to college or to our workplace (means to drive to that place and get back home, takes in my place at least 1,5hrs) and we both have friends to communicate with (means interacting with other known people who share the same interests).
Now you might say: "Hey there are a few hours left!" Yes son, there are but unfortunately our brains are not huge black holes with an unlimited amount of ideas and creative energy in it. So usually we have the spend our energy into currently more important projects for our lives, like college and job which means we dont have much left for other things. That's why it takes so long to finish this darn suite. My plan was to release it exactly one year after the first nano suite came out but obviously it didn't work. I can tell you that we are done to almost well, i'm not sure if i'm to optimistic yet but we have done at least 80-85%. The plan is to release it this year. So please, just be a bit more patient. I can wait, guys. You've all got lives to attend to, I'm not one to be greedy and beg and plead you to spend what little time you have left to do something for our benefit with no benefit of yourself. Take your time for this, there's certainly no rush coming from my general direction. ;)
There are a lot of exams i´ve to learn for and the academy i am going to takes a lot of my time. It´s not in my city so it takes me some time to go there. On the other side there is the online shop and at last my private life.
The plan is to release the NANO05 suite this year.
