That is litestep, yes. It's a personal theme I've used for the past couple of months.
The skin I used as a base to build off of was the cored.org winamp skin. I grabbed the region.txt off some random skin on customize, then editted it because it left various bars such as volume and eq/pl toggle buttons showing, or at least the bottom 3-4 pixels of their skin. I couldn't have that. I was going for a very flat and clean skin feel, so I wanted to take out as much as I could because there is so much to a winamp skin that is just plain superfluous. I don't even use the main window, but there is no way I could release a winamp skin with only a playlist editor skinned.
I just recently acquired stylebuilder (thank you, friend of mine) so I'll be delving into the realm of visual styles to create something akin to this (found in the other WIP thread): http://senex.disrupted.net/temp/concept2.png
I don't want this to be a praise session for myself, I want other people to post their stuff.
Mince, while unoriginal, if well-executed, it will be a nice addition to the styles out there. I would suggest that you make the border color under the titlebar where the shadow crosses over it darker rather than lighter just to keep with the general consensus about lighting.
that's the visual style for the suite WillyT, Staticuxo (littleginzo), Circa and myself are working on called 'Jazz'. many more skins and stuff are in the making so keep watch for this to be released soon.

Looks good. Im impressed. There is one thing that really bugs me though is how the titlebar text aligns to the right next to the buttons. It would look much better aligned to the center or left.
Senex, tried tested and true, been using it for awhile now. lookin great so far willyt. slick icons indeed Dios. Flintsilver lovin the refective floor now.
all great works so far guys. always love to see what people have on the go.
I'm planning on working on Miranda soon. I'll probably use Senex's IEView template as a base to make one that sort of matches the color scheme, though it'll not be released. There are also a couple tweaks to the VS and, especially, to the Litestep theme I need to get around to, but it's coming along a lot better than most of my ventures.
A-whoops. Don't mean to take over the thread, but I accidentally forgot to change the inactive caption text color between modifications to the theme, so the text showed up a bit. *Sheepish grin*
I noticed last night that the brown I used was kinda similar to the brown yall used. But given that you're working on the small caption thing, and the theme is rapidly growing out of favor with me, odds are I'll be abandoning my project anyway.
A portfolio piece that I plan on entering in a contest at the end of the month, lots left to do here. After I get it all squared away I might try to make it wallpaperish by stripping detail and making things a little less squared up.
c72 all i can say is wow to that update. I do suggest some work on the background (pattern on the wall) -- maybe even an outside view from that window like in the original.

Currently working on something with Fate, Advent, Akka, and myself. Cant give a screen ATM though but if it stays how we planned then you can expect something along the lines of my last SS but not exact.

Don't get me wrong, it is damn sexy. Just a tad unoriginal. Buuut, i guess in this day and age, what is original?
And btw, i feel really retarded, buut i didn't notice the "controls" window. :-[ I know, that was really retarded, but i must've not been paying attention. It's reallly nice. SOrry about that.
Nothing personal, but please do not use our graphics to create that. We (visionleague) do our own works in house. So only visionleague artists have the extended OK to release such a theme using the graphics.
Thanks for understanding.

And I (synaesthesia) have the right to create the litestep theme for personal use. I'm only asking the ppl in here for critism/encouragement and I do understand that the graphics where made by Visionleague.
well if it's for personal use, just keep itfor yourself... you must respect the author opinions. Dont show, there's nothing wrong with doing something, but the VL jobs are not CC, if they don't want to allow ANY modification -that means personal, public nor comercial- you should respect that.
It's like you say to your little brother "don't use my yellow shirt", and he uses it and tells you "i used it just for the party"... well it's an stupid reference, but thats my opinion, if you are going to use the graphics from any who dont like mods to his job, keep in secret, dont jump around yelling for attention.
I think you either forgot to use a transparent png for your popup or you forgot to turn on alphamapping in your litestep. Cause i'm seeing white corners there :)
I guess im trying out the whole nano thing right now. I made a little styler theme to match, and i took the obsidian litestep theme (which fucking rocks) and threw the nano graphics on it. Also i modded the actual vs a bit. I still have alot of work to do on it, but thats where it stands right now.
Methinks I've got to say that I love that Styler theme, split. The LS looks nice, too, though I'm a bit lukewarm on the placement of the song ticker. Seems kind of arbitrarily thrown in there somewhere.
antimatter: yeah, i kind of thought the same thing, but thats where the default obsidian litestep theme had it, and i couldnt really think of anyother place of putting it.
Hmm, now that I look at it, the only conceivable place for it would be in the Winamp box, but in order to do that, you'd have to shift the control buttons down a few pixels, then shift down the volume/position sliders, get rid of the corresponding icons, replace them with smaller text labels, then stuff it in there at the top and make it scroll.
Or, and I think this would be the better solution, cut the width of the sliders in half, then place them side-by-side, with the icons, and then have the song scroller above that.
Not saying you guys are dumb or anything, but majority of the original links are probably dead, so if someone's trying to catch up or anything, they'll just, you know, be SOL.
