I have to agree with Integer, there is almost no link at all between all the walls I have lying around.
As a very basic rule, if it looks like you just cut up a photo and/or threw some filters over the place, it won't get you anywhere. Anything that looks like effort went into it will.

by cleanness i mean that stuff is not too crammed and messy. Oh, and toi that list i can also add general lameness in making. Say if someone makes a wp with weird fotns spelling binaries and 1337 and all that supposed to be the matrix (could have linked that, but i nuked a wp like that 20 mins ago) and other boo-boos like that....stuff like that gets low ratings or deletions.
stuff with inappropiate content gets deleted too. Like dead bodies, naked girls, nazi pics, etc.
Whatever fits in with my desktop. Or in other words, little. People tend to ride the "artistic" highway these days, while they should be going down the Usable Wall country road.
well, you can make a usable wall and still have ti be damn fugly. Theres a certain balance and a very thing border between good minimalism and too much simplicitiy
